The competition is like a sporting event except you don't know the final score until the end. The teams get the questions one at a time. They only get 2-4 minutes to work them. The answers are gathered when time is up. The announcer then gives the answer to the problem. I guess the goal is to make math fun like a sport.The boys were excited about the win. I watched some of the competition & didn't think they were doing well. They weren't celebrating when the answers were given. Ryan explained they wanted to "play it cool" vs. other kids who jump up & down.
