The best word to summarize Ryan's summer is golf. He did play baseball too but that's mostly a spring sport here. Ryan did a golf clinic, played in a weekly jr. golf league with his friends, and played in a couple of tournaments.
As you can see in the picture, he finished in the trophies for a tournament. It was a 3 day deal and he finished tied for 3rd in his flight. It worked out well for him cause he played well the first day & not so good the second day. That put him in a less competitive flight and he played well on championship day.
He also hung out at the pool all summer but I don't have pictures of that. Yep - summer is tough when you're a kid. Not that Ryan is lazy though - he's mowing two lawns for neighbors this summer. He's making good money & saving it to pay out-of-state tuition to Iowa.

Go get 'em Ryan!! Brent is so proud of you for picking up golf the way you have! You all will have to make a trip to AZ so we can all play together!
Congratulations, Ryan! Derek got the Tiger Woods game for the Wii... you'll have to try out Derek's version of golf sometime when you're here! :)
